How to get your lab results into My Lab Trends

We read files from four common sources. Pick yours and follow the steps – no manual typing required.

Start importing your labs

Quest Diagnostics (MyQuest) PDF

Download your results as a PDF from the MyQuest patient portal.

Log in to your MyQuest account at myquest.questdiagnostics.com.
Click on the "Test results" link to see your list of results.
On the far right of any test result card, click the three vertical dots (⋮) to open the menu, then select "Download PDF" – the file will automatically save to your browser's default download location.
Repeat for any additional lab results you'd like to track – you can download as many as you want.
Inside My Lab Trends, go to the "Add Lab Results" page and upload that PDF

Tip: Don't worry about editing the PDF – we read it exactly as it comes from Quest.

Labcorp PDF

Get your PDF from the Labcorp Patient Portal.

Log in to the Labcorp Patient Portal at patient.labcorp.com.
Navigate to "Results".
Make sure you're viewing results Grouped By Date – this makes it easier to find the lab draw you want.
On the right side of any result, click "View" to open the detailed report.
On the "Result Details" page, look for the blue "Download Official Report" button on the right – click it and the PDF will automatically save to your computer.
Repeat for any additional lab results you'd like to track – you can download as many as you want.
Inside My Lab Trends, go to the "Add Lab Results" page and upload the PDF(s) – we'll read them for you.

Tip: Labcorp downloads may be blocked by ad blockers – disable them if stuck.

VA Blue Button Text File

Export your lab results from My HealtheVet as a text file.

Go directly to the Blue Button report at va.gov/my-health/medical-records/download/date-range.
Log in when prompted – you'll be redirected to the date range selection page.
Under "Date Range", select "All time" – this ensures you get all your lab results.
Under "Select types of records to include", only check "Lab and test results" – this keeps your report focused and the file size smaller.
Under "File Type", select "Text" (not PDF – the text format imports most reliably).
Click "Download Report" – the file will automatically save to your computer as "VA-Blue-Button-report.txt".
Inside My Lab Trends, go to the "Add Lab Results" page and upload that file – we'll read it for you.

Tip: The text format gives us clean, structured data. You only need to do this once to get all your labs.

CSV / TSV Spreadsheet Export

Use any comma‑ or tab‑separated file from your health app or spreadsheet.

Export your lab data from your source (e.g., Apple Health, MyChart, or a manual spreadsheet).
Make sure the first column is the date (in any common format, e.g., MM/DD/YYYY or YYYY-MM-DD).
Each subsequent column should be a marker name (e.g., Glucose (Current Blood Sugar)) with numeric values below.
Save as a .csv (comma) or .tsv (tab) file.
In My Lab Trends, use the "Upload CSV" option to load it instantly.

How do I export my lab results from Quest Diagnostics?

Yes. Export your lab data as a CSV or TSV file, make sure the first column is the date, each subsequent column is a marker name with numeric values, then upload it using the "Upload CSV" option in My Lab Trends. Browse our full marker library to see the exact names we recognize.

Is my data safe when I import lab results?

Yes. Your lab data never touches our servers. All parsing and visualization happens in your browser. If you use a Google Sheet, it stays in your own Drive with the minimum required permissions. No data is stored, logged, or shared. Read our full privacy policy.

Can I import multiple lab results at once?

Yes! For Quest and Labcorp, you can download as many PDFs as you want and upload them one at a time. For VA Blue Button, one text file contains all your labs when you select "All time." For CSV/TSV, you can include multiple rows of data in a single file.

Do I need to edit my PDF or text file before importing?

No. We read your files exactly as they come from Quest, Labcorp, or the VA. No editing, reformatting, or manual data entry is required. Just download and upload – we handle the rest.
